HVAC & Air Distribution

In dealing with today’s high density loads, you need to look at the facilities you have to understand what your limitations are. It is easy to build-out a blade server rack to 30KW of load, but is there any way for your facility to accommodate this load. More Data Centers have airflow distribution problems than have HVAC capacity issues. You need to consider and implement best practices to eliminate these airflow issues, “hot aisle / cold aisle”, blanking panels, cable entry seals, perforated or grated tiles in front of equipment. New targeted cooling solutions can also supplement existing HVAC to allow for blade or high density deployments, such as, variable speed fans, in row cooling, aisle or above rack cooling. New scalable solutions for cooling can also be a better approach to handle undeterminable future growth.

Considerations We Make As We Develop Solutions For Your Data Centers:

  • Air Conditioner Placement
  • Air Conditioner Setup
  • Under-Floor Obstacles
  • Outside Air Infiltration
  • Windows – No Vapor Barrier
  • Insufficient Heat Load
